The purpose and objectives of the conference

The purpose of the conference is to connect studies on biospheric carbon cycles and related cycles of other biogenic elements between biologists, geologists, oceanographers and climatologists. The objective of the conference is to generalize data on changes in these cycles in space and time for a comprehensive study of the scale of anthropogenic factors' influence on them.

Scientific program of the conference

Evolution of biotic and abiotic carbon cycles in the ancient biosphere

Cycles of other biogenic elements associated with the carbon cycle

Paths, mechanisms and temporal scales of burial of biogenic and abiogenic carbon

The role of soils as a component of the biosphere in the carbon cycle

The role of forest and other terrestrial ecosystems in regulating the carbon cycle

Wetland ecosystems and the carbon cycle

The impact of the ocean and atmosphere on the carbon cycle at different spatio-temporal scales

Volcanoes and hydrothermal vents as suppliers of carbon dioxide

Global and regional climate models

Conference format

The conference will feature oral and poster presentations. The organizing committee reserves the right to select papers for oral presentations. The duration of oral presentations is 15 min (+ 5 minutes for questions and discussion). Plenary presentations of 30 minutes are possible. Presentations will be grouped according to common themes. The poster session will be open throughout the conference.
